Well, we're finally finished with our research! We had our First Grade "Writer's Showcase" Tuesday night. It was a HUGE success and we had a TON of parents and families come through. Here are pics of our room right before all the parents came.
My wonderful aide and I made these two animals out of cardboard. We "blew them up" on the board and traced them. then we painted and cut them out. It was super fun and easy. I think we'll make more to add for next year!

My firsties worked sooooo hard! I was so proud of them and all the parents were amazed at all their hard work too! This is one of the BEST things we do all year. You can check this unit out in my store:
We only have ONE more day left! I can't believe it. This year has gone by sooooo fast. I've had a WoNdErFuL group of kids this year and will truly miss them.
