MLK + Winter Centers

Our 3 day weekend was really nice but back to business today!  We started our MLK unit and my firsties were sooooo excited!  We added MLK to our timeline, made a "smart art" of him and read our fluency stories with our 2nd grade buddies for the first time today.  It went really well and my kiddos were very excited to read with their new buddies.

All of the ideas came from the very talented Katie Knight's 13 American Heroes Unit.  Check it out below!

Well, We've been back for 4 days now and are back in the groove!  We have been working hard on our Winter Centers.  Take a look!
