I've Got a New Toy!

I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!!

I just bought an iPad mini and am excited about trying to use it in my classroom.  I would like to have some suggestions about apps to use with my first graders.  What do you use?  What works for you?  How do you manage only one iPad in the classroom?

I'd love to hear from you!  Thanks!

  1. Hi Karen! I use my husband's iPad in my first grade classroom (he's a nice guy to share!), and I use it in a couple of ways. First, I use Class Dojo to manage my students' behavior, and it's so nice to be able to work with a group at the back table while monitoring my little ones' behavior on the iPad at the same time. I also use Classroom Organizer on my iPad to manage my classroom library. I also like to use the iPad to practice addition facts at the end of my small groups in math...there are TONS of free fact practice apps!

I hope some of this helps! Congrats on the new toy!

    1. I actually just started Class Dojo today and LOVED it! I will definitely check into the Classroom Organizer. I downloaded a few free math fact apps but haven't had time to really look into them yet. Thank you so much for the suggestions. I really appreciate you taking time to help me out!
