Florida Baby!

After 2 WHOLE days of driving, we are FiNaLlY here!  Yeah!  Yesterday, we stopped in Monroe, Alabama and went to Duck Commander:

Last night we made it to Pensacola, FL.  We had just enough time to walk down to look at the beach before dark:

Finally got here to the hotel today and are ready for a week of fun!

Not sure how much blogging will be done because I plan on enjoying my family time!  I'll definitely post pics when we get back.  If you follow on instagram you will see more!

My first Monday Made It! - Window Clings

I'm linking up with Tara for the first time for Monday Made it!

I'm visiting my sister and my sweet nephews for a few days.  We've been doing a few little crafts with her 3 year old and my 2 girls.  Yesterday my sister found a recipe for homemade window clings so we had to try it out!  She found the idea here.

We mixed up each color in an empty egg carton and they painted on page protectors.  Here's what our sweeties made:

(Not the best pics but...)  Aren't they cute?  Such a fun activity!  They loved seeing their paintings on the door!  I think this would make a great activity in the classroom too!  Mother's Day gift, spring craft, valentines hearts, etc...  You really could do them for any occasion!t back to mt

I hope you have time to try it out!  Have fun with it!

I gotta get back to my precious new nephew!

Have a great week everyone!

ABC Charts - Pink, Blue, Green and Yellow Polka Dots!

So I told you guys I was trying to save money this school year and am making a lot of my own things for my new classroom decor.  I made a new Alphabet for 2 reasons - I'm tired of the one I have and this one is much cuter!  (I didn't say they had to be great reasons)  We all want our room to look cute right?!?!  Let's face it - our classrooms are our second homes.  We LIVE there - right?!?!

I am doing different colors and patterns this year - pink, yellow, blue and green.  I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to go total chevron or polka dots so I finally decided to do it all - chevron, dots and stripes.  I thought if I went this route, maybe I could incorporate more finds later and not be tied down to just one pattern.  Make sense?  Anywho, here is my alphabet if you're interested:

Before I decided to make my own, I searched a lot of different alphabets and didn't like that I couldn't see the pics before I bought it.  I wanted to see them all to know what I was getting so I wanted to make sure that others could see what I used before they bought it.  I hope this helps give you a better idea!

If you're interested just click on either of the pics above and check it out!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to have more for you later!

Have a great rest of the week!

Follow Me on Bloglovin'! and yes, I'm a teacher NERD!

Oh my!  Summer is already flying by!  I had full intentions of blogging regularly throughout the summer but I have been hard at work thinking, planning, creating and printing things for next year.  I know - I'm a teacher nerd! :)  I really enjoy the extra time in the summer to slow down and have time to think!  I've revamped a lot of things and have created a lot of classroom decor specific to my colors and patterns.  I would like to share some with you eventually.  The next 3 weeks will be crazy busy for us.  I will be spending several days at my sister's house loving on my brand new nephew and then its off to Florida for our vacation!  Can't wait!  These legs have not seen the sun yet this summer - YIKES!

On another note -

I've joined the Bloglovin' bandwagon!  I don't have a huge number of followers but can't stand the thought of losing a single one!  Please click on the icon on the top left of my screen and follow me!

Have a great week!

Mint Green Chevron Open-Binder Calendar

So, I always spend waaaaaay tooooo much money at the start of every school year - so I decided this summer to try and make a lot of the things I normally buy.  I just finished an open-binder format calendar for my desk.  I keep this separate from my teacher binder with all my other information because I like to keep this open on my desk in front of my computer.  I left a space on each side so that there would be enough room to hole punch, that way you can look at the whole month at a time.
